Orthodontic treatment of rattling and bucktooth and deep bite of upper and lower front teeth with surface braces (ceramic brackets).

Case: Female in her 20s

Patient Information20s female
problemI have always been concerned about the rattling of my upper and lower front teeth and the depth of my bite, and I want to perform orthodontic treatment because my bite is not good.
diagnosisOverbite with plexus due to lack of space between upper and lower anterior teeth (deep bite)
planSince the amount of space for permanent teeth was necessary to correct the upper and lower rattling and open bite, I explained the policy of extracting the upper, lower, left and right first bicuspids, and after receiving consent, treatment was started.
Because of the large misalignment of the back teeth in the upper and lower dentition, the space for tooth extraction was severe, so we suggested the use of orthodontic anchor screws.
In the second half of the treatment, we also explained the use of intermaxillary rubbers to achieve a close occlusion.
Equipment usedCeramic Bracket
Orthodontic anchor screw
interchaminal rubber
resultThe patient is very satisfied with the improvement of the rattling, which was the main complaint, thanks to the extraction of the tooth.
PeriodDynamic treatment to move teeth: 36 months
(1 to 1.5 months between appointments)
Retention treatment to observe regression: 24 months
(Appointment interval 3-6 months)
total amount924,000 yen (tax included)
(Adjustment fee 5,500 yen)
*Two orthodontic anchor screws are used.
66,000 yen (total of 2 pieces) is included in the total treatment cost.
Risks and Side EffectsRoot resorption, alveolar bone resorption, gingival recession, temporomandibular joint disorder, caries and periodontal disease due to poor plaque control

Orthodontic treatment of open bite with backside orthodontics (half-lingual)

Case: Female in her 20s

Patient Information20s female
problemI want to straighten my teeth because my upper and lower front teeth have always been misaligned and my bite is not good.
diagnosisOpen bite, plexus
planIn order to improve the lack of space and open bite of the upper and lower front teeth, it was necessary to secure space for permanent teeth. We explained to the patient that four first premolars (#4) would have to be extracted from the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the mouth for this purpose, and he agreed.
We also suggested the use of anchor screws, which are small orthodontic screws, to make effective use of the space created by removing the teeth and to move the teeth efficiently and quickly, as well as the use of "intermaxillary rubber" to adjust the bite in the latter half of the treatment. This will allow vertical positioning of the back teeth.
Equipment usedWhite wire with backside braces on upper teeth and front side braces (half-lingual) on lower teeth
anchor screw
interchaminal rubber
resultThe alignment and bite of the teeth have been improved very nicely. The patient is satisfied with the treatment results.
PeriodDynamic treatment to move teeth: 36 months
(1 to 1.5 months between appointments)
Retention treatment to observe regression: 24 months
(Appointment interval 3-6 months)
total amountApprox. 980,000 yen
(Adjustment fee: approx. 7,000 yen)
*If orthodontic anchor screws are required, additional costs will be incurred.
(Approx. 30,000 yen per bottle)
Risks and Side EffectsRoot resorption, alveolar bone resorption, gingival recession, temporomandibular joint disorder, caries and periodontal disease due to poor plaque control

Orthodontic treatment of front teeth with a mouthpiece orthodontic appliance (Invisalign)

Case: Female in her 20s

Patient Information20s female
problemI have a large gap in my front teeth (median separation) and would like to correct it.
diagnosismedian emptying
planThe patient needed to correct the unevenness of the back teeth and the depth of the bite, so we selected the complete package of Invisalign mouthpiece orthodontic appliances.
Equipment usedMouthpiece orthodontic appliance (Invisalign)
resultSince it was a median separation of the maxillary central incisor, the mouthpiece was very cooperative to use, and the treatment was completed with only one additional aligner fabrication.
PeriodDynamic treatment to move teeth: Oct.
(Approximately 6 visits: 1-3 months between appointments)
Retention treatment to observe regression: 10 months
(Approximately 3 visits: 3-6 months between appointments)
total amountApprox. 880,000 yen (excluding adjustment fee: 5,500 yen/times)
Risks and Side EffectsRoot resorption, alveolar bone resorption, gingival recession, temporomandibular joint disorder, caries periodontal disease due to poor plaque control

A case of orthodontic treatment of entire teeth including front teeth with a mouthpiece orthodontic appliance (Invisalign)

Case: Female in her 20s

Patient Information20s female
problemI want to correct my front teeth and other overall gaps.
diagnosisSpaced arch (voided dental arch)
planSince the patient needed orthodontic treatment not only in the anterior teeth but also in the entire region, and since the patient wanted an orthodontic appliance that would not be noticeable, we treated her with a mouthpiece orthodontic appliance (Invisalign) in a complementary package.
Equipment usedMouthpiece orthodontic appliance (Invisalign)
resultDue to the overall amount of gaps, a mouthpiece orthodontic appliance (Invisalign) treatment plan was developed and orthodontic treatment was performed, paying attention to the collapse of the front teeth. The patient cooperated very well with the use of the mouthpiece, and treatment was completed with only one additional aligner fabrication.
PeriodDynamic treatment to move teeth: 1 year and 8 months
(Approx. 11 visits: 1-3 months between appointments)
Retention treatment to observe regression: 1 year and 8 months
(Approximately 3 visits: 6-8 months between appointments)
total amountApprox. 880,000 Yen (Adjustment fee is not included. 5,500 Yen per adjustment)
Risks and Side EffectsRoot resorption, alveolar bone resorption, gingival recession, temporomandibular joint disorder, caries periodontal disease due to poor plaque control
