A mouth sore is a condition in which the mouth protrudes forward when viewed from the outside. Mouth sores are common among Asians, and many people are concerned about them because of their appearance.
In this issue, we will explain how to treat mouth gobble, the difference from bucktooth, and the cost of treatment, which many people suffer from.

Causes of mouth sores
The official name for mouth gobos is "maxillary prognathism" or "maxillary protrusion". Kuchigobo is internet slang for "mouth gaping forward," and is not the official name.
There are many causes of mouth sores, including tooth alignment, abnormal muscle development, and skeletal structure.
(1) People with bucktooth and mouth gobble (teeth alignment problem)
(2) People who have a mouth gobble due to a lower jaw tucked in (adenoidal facial appearance) (muscle problems around the jaw).
(iii) Those who have a mouth gobble due to the original jaw structure protruding forward (skeletal problem).
What is the difference between bucktooth and stomatoglossus?
Bucktooth is officially called maxillary protrusion. It is a condition in which the upper front teeth protrude forward. In contrast, stomatognathism is a condition in which not only the upper front teeth but also the entire mouth protrudes forward.
Bucktooth = a person who has only upper front teeth protruding.
Mouth gobos = people whose entire mouth protrudes forward.
One of the causes of bucktooth is bucktooth. However, not all people with bucktooth have bucktooth, and some do not have bucktooth.
Characteristics of people with bucktooth and mouth gobble are,
(1) Large upper front teeth protruding forward (for those with significant misalignment of teeth)
(2) People with bucktooths + lower jaw also recessed (bucktooths + adenoid face)
These individuals tend to have bucktooths that cause their entire mouth to protrude forward, resulting in a mouthful of teeth.
Criteria for judging bucktooths and mouthbones are based on the "E-line".
My mouth is sticking out. Am I a mouth gobbler...
Many of you may have these problems. Bucktooth refers to the upper front teeth and mouth gobble refers to the entire mouth protruding forward, but it is not clear how much protrusion is required to be a bucktooth or mouth gobble, is it?
If you are concerned about whether you have bucktooths or a protruding mouth, you may want to refer to the "E line".
The E line is an abbreviation for Esthétique line, which is a line connecting the tip of the nose and the tip of the lower jaw when viewed from the side of the face.
If the upper lip, or upper and lower lips, protrude well forward of the E-line, then there is a possibility of bucktooth or mouth sagging.
For Japanese people, the ideal profile is considered to have the upper and lower lips about 2 mm inside the E-line. (For those with a high nose, the ideal E-line is 5 to 8 mm or more, even if the upper and lower lips are inside the E-line).
How to fix bucktooths and mouth sagging
There are four main ways to fix bucktooths or mouth sagging.
Wire orthodontics
Mouthpiece Orthodontics
Ceramic Orthodontics
Surgery
If the symptoms of bucktooth are relatively mild, it may be corrected with mouthpiece braces, partial braces with wires, or ceramic braces with ceramic crowns over the teeth to straighten the teeth. Severely bucktooth or mouth sagging caused by the alignment of teeth can be treated with orthodontic wire braces.
In the case of bucktooths or mouth sagging caused by the skeleton (the jaw itself protrudes forward), a surgical procedure is required to cut the jawbone and adjust its position. Surgery is performed by an oral or cosmetic surgeon.
Can bucktooths and mouth sores be fixed on their own?
Can I fix my bucktooth and mouth gobble by myself?
I know you are wondering about this. As it turns out, it is almost impossible to cure bucktooth or a protruding mouth by oneself. I say "almost" because it is possible to prevent bucktooths and mouth sockets from developing by correcting bad habits such as finger sucking and tongue twisters in children (from 3 to 6 years old) whose jaw structure and teeth have not yet been formed.
Bucktooths and mouthbones are symptoms caused by abnormalities in the alignment of the teeth and the jaw structure. As a rule, orthodontic or surgical treatment is necessary.
Bad habits that lead to bucktooth and mouth sagging
If your children are between the ages of 3 and 6, when their teeth and jaw structure are still developing, you can reduce the risk of bucktooths and mouthbones by correcting the following bad habits.
Finger sucking
Press the backs of the teeth with the tongue.
Bite your lower lip.
Mouth Breathing
Eating only soft foods
In addition to correcting the above bad habits, exercising the muscles around the mouth, such as "Aiube exercises," can also help prevent bucktooth and mouth sagging.
How to do the Aiue Exercises
Ai Iu Be Exercises are a training method to strengthen the muscles around the mouth (orbicularis oris muscle), jaw muscles, and tongue muscles. By doing Ai Iu Be Exercises, you can expect to change from mouth breathing to nose breathing, and also prevent bucktooth and mouth sagging.
To perform the Aiube exercise, do the following four exercises in order. You may or may not use your voice at this time. Please do them in a way that is easy for you.
1.Open your mouth wide with an "ah".
2.Open your mouth with a wide "ee" to the side.
3.Stick your mouth out strongly in front of you with a "woof".
4.Stick your tongue out strongly in front of you with a "bee".
1.~ (after a number N)4.indicates object of desire, like, hate, etc.1As a set,1on the day30Perform aiube exercises daily around the set.
The caveat to Aibe exercises is as mentioned above if you are doing them for the purpose of preventing bucktooth or mouth sagging,
interpoint (interword separation)3Age ~.6Children up to about age 5
It is effective only for children and adults older than this. For older children and adults, it should be noted that Aiube exercises will not cure bucktooths or mouth sores. However, if the purpose is to "improve mouth breathing," Aiube exercises can be expected to have a certain level of effectiveness, such as changing from mouth breathing to nose breathing.
The cost of treatment for bucktooth and mouth gobble
As for the cost of treatment for bucktooth and mouth gobble, the cost of treatment varies depending on the severity of the condition. In the case of orthodontic treatment, the cost of treatment varies depending on the orthodontic method, such as wire braces, mouthpiece braces, or ceramic braces. In the case of surgery, the cost of treatment may also differ between oral surgery and cosmetic surgery.
